Captain Mark Stuart - Pilots the 33
Ft Diesel Cruiser (Valley Girl). Mark knows some
great spots to troll for King Fish, Tuna, and Dolphin and
close in spots to bottom fish for Red Snapper -all within 40
miles from here. Mark gives sailing Lessons on the 25 foot
Helms or the 53. He also frequents the Upper Laguna Madre,
including the Arroya Colorado River - for smooth riding bay
excursions on our luxury yachts through national wildlife
refuges. Mark's been fishing and cruising these near coastal
waters for five years.
Captain Bob Connor - Pilots the 42 foot
Bertram (Deep Strike). Bob won the Texas Invitational Fishing
Tournament (TIFT) 2002 - both Blue and White Marlin divisions
as well as best Male Offshore Angler.
Captain Frank Lavin - Pilots his 29 Ft Chris
Craft Catalina - offering guided tours in the bay for site sight
seeing, area history and bird watching.
Captain Don "Snapper" McCarty - A
former commercial fisherman - Don knows every rock between here
and Southern Mexico and can land any bottom fish you can name
in between. He can pilot the
42 foot Mishegas and any of the bay boats.
Captain Robert Sirvello offers both
bay and gulf guided fishing tours in the bay on his 22 foot
Transport. Robert boasts 22 years of experience in this area
and is the 1998 Allstar Rods tournament winner - 31"
Trout. 1999 Guides Cup - Biggest Red. Shallow water
fishing for trout, reds, flounder. Offshore fishing for
kingfish, amberjack, ling, dolphin, wahoo, spanish mackeral, tarpon
and mermaids.
Captain Lou Austin offers bay
guided fishing tours. Lou & his associates operate out of our
Family Courts Marina. Simply put - he is the best bay guide in
the area - and the highest in demand. Lou usually
brings in the limit of Trout.
Captain George Strader offers bay guided
fishing tours on his 24 foot Carolina Skiff. George likes to
fish the Port Mansfield area north of us off the Intercoastal
Waterway, The jetties and the Brownsville Ship Channel. George
fishes for Trout and Redfish.
Captain Pat Kelley offers offshore fishing
excursions on his 26 foot Trojan express. Pat fishes for
bottom fish like snapper and grouper also trolls for dolphin, and
kingfish. Pat also runs the Maritime
Training Center that offers U.S.C.G. training for Captain's
licensing.
Captain Dave Hedges a ten year
resident and watersports expert - a great captain for sailboat
lessons, skiing, even operates a hobie cat and bannaboat on the
beach during his spare time. Dave likes to fish in the bay,
knows his way around the island and is an excellent captain for
party boat cruises.
Captain Vic Laragione - our most
experienced captain. Carries a 1600 ton masters license and a
100 ton sailing endorsement. Has been teaching sailing and
piloting large vessels for over 20 years. Has his own 32 foot
Ontario. Can be scheduled for boat deliveries, private lessons
and long range charters.
Captain Dave Harrilson - Award winning and
record holding offshore sport fisherman. Masters License.
Available for tournaments and deliveries.
Half day, all day, 2 day, weekly and
destination charters are available. Starting at $250.00 bay
and $600 offshore. Bait, Tackle, Ice, Drinks and
sundry items including sunglasses, suntan lotion, fishing gear,
area charts and accessories are available at the marina.
Boats can be Bare Boat or "six-pack" chartered. Call Anchor

BOAT DELIVERIES
Our experienced
U.S.C.G. Captains are available to pick-up and deliver boats up
to 1600 tons anywhere in the US, Canada, and South
America. We can deliver boats by water or over land by
truck. Captains Laragione, McCarty, Dent and Stuart have
actual experience delivering boats over water - Captain McCarty
has a CDL - with 25 years of trucking experience and 15 years of sea
service, Captain Laragione has a 1600 ton masters and a 100 ton
sailing license with 20 years on large vessels.
Price is
$250.00 per day plus expenses over water which includes
a Captain and deckhand - call for quotes over 100 ton and by
